QPE promotes two to Partner and makes new hires as it expands into Financial Services

Queen’s Park Equity (“QPE”) is delighted to announce the promotion of Alison Price and Kajen Mohanadas to Partner, and the appointment of Freddie Athill and Nic Badings to its Investing team, as the firm adds Financial Services as a new dedicated area of sector focus.

Alison joined QPE in 2021, playing a leading role across QPE’s healthcare and education teams, including involvement in the investments in Encore, Blue Ribbon, SCL and Psychiatry-UK. Encore was exited at a 7.5x money multiple and 63% IRR, an outstanding outcome that earned the Real Deals Deal of the Year.

Kajen has been with QPE since inception, focussing across the tech & business services sectors and has been involved in QPE’s investments in Sagacity, Forever, Wordwall, Helix and Canford. Most recently, Kajen led QPE’s exit of Sagacity, the UK data and customer intelligence specialist, delivering a 3.6x money multiple and 30% IRR.

Freddie joins as Investment Director from Apis Partners, bringing more than 14 years of experience investing in financial services, and will lead new investments in the sector. He previously worked at Cabot Square Capital, having begun his career at LEK.

Nic joins as Investment Manager with seven years of lower mid-market private equity experience, including at Pemba Capital in Sydney. Both bring a wealth of experience working with founders and management teams looking to accelerate their growth.

Jonny Kay, Co-Managing Partner, commented: “Kajen and Alison have been instrumental to QPE’s success to date and their promotions are richly deserved. Both embody the entrepreneurial empathy at the heart of how we partner with management teams. Congratulations to them both on their thoroughly well-deserved promotions to the partnership.”

Jose Rodriguez, Co-Managing Partner, added: “Encore and Sagacity show what our model delivers for founders and investors alike and Fund II gives us the capital to do it at greater scale. Freddie brings deep sector expertise as we make financial services a dedicated area of focus, and Nic strengthens the team behind a strong Fund II pipeline. We are delighted to welcome them both at an exciting time for QPE.”

The announcements follow a landmark period for QPE. In December 2025 the firm activated its over-subscribed second fund, QPE Fund II, at £305m. Since then, QPE has partnered with Helix, Canford and Initiate, and has completed a number of significant bolt-ons, including Canford’s acquisitions of PDC Group and Lemonaid, Initiate’s acquisition of Dark Peak Analytics and Forever’s acquisition of Onesal. QPE also recently announced the sale of Sagacity to Accenture, its second exit from its £202m Fund I following the exit of Encore.

QPE is focused on providing capital and expertise to high-quality, entrepreneur-led businesses within the education, health & pharma, tech-enabled business services and financial services sectors, with an ambition to accelerate their growth.
