I am passionate about this job because it provides the opportunity to collaborate with talented and driven teams to help them achieve their ambitions. I have always been motivated by the challenge to continuously learn and adapt to succeed and I relish working in a team environment, be it on a football pitch or in an office. These are fundamental to my role at QPE.

I started my career in the transaction advisory team at EY before moving to Rothschild & Co.  These roles provided a comprehensive grounding in deals advisory but during this time it became clear I had a strong preference to work with entrepreneurial teams running smaller businesses in market niches, rather than larger businesses in a more robotic corporate environment.

I also wanted to play an active and value-add role beyond a transaction, building lasting relationships with management teams. As such I decided to pursue a career in private equity.

Prior to joining QPE, I spent seven years at Rutland Partners, a mid-market private equity firm. My role was focussed on investing in and supporting market leading businesses in transition. These businesses typically required active support to unlock their unfulfilled potential.

We use our experience, sector knowledge and networks to be a focussed partner for management teams, ensuring the most impactful initiatives are prioritised to deliver growth.

At QPE we build strong, transparent relationships and take a hands-on approach to ensure we are a nimble and supportive investor; not only present for the successes but most crucially helping teams tackle the inevitable challenges that arise as a business scales.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my wife and two young children. I enjoy keeping active and look to get outside in the fresh air as much as possible. I am also an amateur barista… on a constant quest to make the perfect at-home espresso.
